Interoception Research
The team is using MR techniques to investigate non-clinical human conditions such as pain, thirst, hunger, aging and the urge to cough.
Collaborations:
The Interoception team collaborates with a number of Australian institutes, clinicians and scientists including the National Aging Research Institute, Monash University, St Vincent’s Hospital, the Royal Children’s Hospital, and the Centre for Obesity Research and Education, Alfred Hospital.
Internationally the group participates in projects run with Georgetown University Medical Center USA, the Research Imaging Centre, University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio, USA, and University of Groningen Medical Centre, Netherlands
