This guide will show you how to change your NIG password:

Windows:

  • If you do not have an SSH client already installed, download and install PuTTY
  • Open PuTTY, and in the "Host Name" field, type supertower or supertower.neuroimaging.org.au and then click "Open" in the bottom right hand side.
  • Enter your current username and password to log in.

Linux/Mac:

  • Open an xterm or Terminal.app window and type
    ssh myusername@supertower

To change

  • Once you have logged in you should be presented with a bash prompt. Type
    smbldap-passwd myusername
    and hit enter.
  • Type your new password and hit enter. You will be asked to repeat the new password for confirmation, and then the password change will be complete.
  • Type exit (and hit enter) to quit PuTTY.
